.cm “go live” delayed again !

Well this has got to be the worst launch of a new domain extension for a long time , the .cm extension release has been delayed again by the registrar. The .cm extension launch seems to have been plagued by gremlins and technical issues over the last couple of months, each time the proposed release date creeps round what do you know the registrar find another bug it their system delaying the release once again. Will it be third time lucky for the .cm registry ? Who knows as this time round, there doesn’t seem to be any indication as to when the .cm registry will be in a position to actually launch.

According to COCCA the organisation ion charge of running the back end for .cm, the DNS servers from Cameroon’s Telco, Camtel, are not reliable enough to be used. Check out what COCCA have to say. This does not help the people who have placed orders for .cm domains and still have no way of canceling potential .cm applications they have made as this option was removed last time the release date was changed.

Any how with a pretty poor track record so far and the extension hasn’t even launched yet what are your opinions on the .cm domain debarcle.
