Twitter goes down due to DOS attack

6 Aug 2009Twitter was taken offline for several hours today due to a denial of service attack (DDoS). Twitter confirmed the attack via a post on its official blog earlier today.
The .cm landrush was due to take place on the 1st of August. The day before the landrush was to commence the .cm domain name registry announced their postponement of the public first come first served launch.
